Measure around fullest part

Measure ~ 20cm down from the natural waistline

The Choti vest is made using hand stitched vintage kantha blankets and are designed to be slightly oversize  to allow for layering. A season-less and genderless piece, our statement kids jackets can be past down generations and will elevate any basic outfit.  Please see the garment measurements for size. The model is 2 yr 3 months of age. 

About the craft: Kantha embroidery is one of the oldest forms of embroidery from India. It is said to have first originated in rural villages of Bengal where women used it to strengthen old fabrics such as sarees and lungis. Recycling at its best! 

About the fabric: We have used vintage kantha blankets for this collection sourced from Jodhpur, India. A light to mid weight fabric with a soft aged feel, certain parts may feature  fraying which makes it look like a piece of art as it reveals the inner layers and connects you to the unique story behind each jacket. Each piece is one of a kind and is uniquely yours. Wear it proudly and treat it with care so it can be with you for many years to come. 


We travel to remote parts of India to discover and learn about heritage craft skills and textiles. We work with vintage, deadstock and handcrafted materials. Therefore, slight irregularities are the natural outcome of the process and are not faults. They connect you to the process and story behind each piece.

  • Fits 2-3 years
  • Since we try to minimise waist, the vests may be ++/- 1 inch in size which does not fundamentally change the style or the fit.

Garment measurement in inches:

  • Chest (pit to pit) : 28-31 inches
  • Front length from collar: 14-15 inches.

  • Only spot cleaning is recommended due to the delicate nature of the fabric which may feature some fraying.
  • Do not machine wash.
